IT Support for Import & Export Companies
Your business moves documents between countries, banks and governments all day. We keep those systems reliable and the email around them secure, so a transaction does not stall on technology.
The business is the paperwork
For an import or export company, the product may be coffee, textiles, machinery or electronics, but the actual work is documents and confirmations. A commercial invoice, a packing list, a certificate of origin, a bill of lading, a bank instruction, each one moves through several parties, often in several countries, and each one has a deadline attached to a shipment.
That makes two things critical. The first is that the people handling those documents can reach them: the shared drive, the ERP or import system, the broker portal and email all have to work from the office, from home and from a phone at a trade show. The second is that the email carrying them can be trusted. International trade is a favourite target for business email compromise precisely because bank-detail changes and urgent payment requests are normal here.
We handle the infrastructure and the security around that workflow: stable workstations, a properly segmented network, Microsoft 365 with domain protection, secure file exchange, tested backups and a continuity plan. We do not replace your trade or ERP software, we make sure it is reachable and protected.
The reliability problems are mundane and expensive. A shared drive disconnects while a document package is being assembled. A scanner stops feeding into the folder. Someone cannot open the broker portal from a home laptop because the browser is three years out of date. None of it looks like a crisis until a vessel cutoff is six hours away.
The security problems are more serious. A supplier writes from an address that is one character off, saying their bank changed. A "director" asks for an urgent payment to clear a container. An old employee mailbox still receives purchase orders after they leave. These messages arrive in an inbox where urgency is normal, which is exactly why they work.
And then there is continuity. Many trade offices keep critical files on one server in one room with one internet connection and no tested restore. A flood, a theft or a failed drive can take out years of transaction history that customs or a bank may later ask to see.
What a properly maintained trade office looks like
Documents reachable from anywhere
A consistent, permissioned way to open files from the office, home or a phone, instead of emailing versions back and forth.
Email that is harder to spoof
Domain authentication, external-sender marking and filtering that expose the fake supplier and the fake bank instruction.
Staff who recognise the pattern
Short training built around payment-change and urgent-shipment requests, the two shapes trade fraud usually takes.
Systems that survive a bad week
Tested backups and a written plan for outages and storms, so a closed office is an inconvenience rather than a data loss.
Devices that are actually current
Workstations and laptops patched on schedule, with old machines retired before they become the weak point.

Why trade companies choose us
Security explained in business terms
We show you what a spoofed message looks like in your own inbox, so the training sticks instead of being theoretical.

We reduce the exposure on several levels: SPF, DKIM and DMARC so nobody can send as your domain, filtering for known-bad senders, external-sender marking so a familiar name from outside stands out, mailbox rules that catch lookalike domains, and short training on payment-change requests. No setup eliminates every attempt, so the habit that matters is verifying any bank change by phone using a number you already had.
